PEDRO ROMERO & OLVIN PEREZ

We met Pedro through a childhood friend who thought we would be a good match. Pedro el “Padrino” of Educafe was our first collaborator in 2023. A producer for over 40 years , he does not stop learning and evolving with the times. Finca Los Popitos was inspired by Pedro's nickname, SonPopo. Which is the name for worker ants. Pedro's wife of 40 years is from Floridia Copan, called el son popero. Since they are both Poperos, Los popitos represents their childen whom have motivated them to work their land. Although Pedro is a traditional producer he has dedicated himself to learning modern process methods and in this decade began to focus on his coffee's reaching roasters directly. A corner stone of our collective we are glad to share with you Don Pedro's Naturals.

This year we are offering a small lot of natural process from producer Olvin Perez. We spent a day with Olvin in 2023 while walking around Capucas, a gracious guide we exchanged many thoughts on life. Years later we stayed in touch and found an opportunity to work directly with him. Olvin grew up in Capucas and has seen first hand the movement of tons of coffee through his drop off at exporters. Olvin always had a goal to sell his coffee.
